Forensic Interviewer
The Forensic Interviewer conducts developmentally and culturally appropriate and legally defensible forensic interviews of children and adolescents alleging sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, and other crimes and exposure to violence using established forensic interviewing protocol such as Child First or FIT. This is a fulltime, salaried position and is entitled to full benefits offered by the Tree House CAC. This position is required to be physically present in the office. Bilingual Child Trauma Therapist
The Tree House Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of Montgomery County Maryland is pleased to announce an opening for a full-time licensed child trauma therapist. This is a full time, hybrid position.
The therapist will provide trauma therapy to children ages 5-18 and their caregivers. Therapy may include individual, parent training, sibling and family therapy. Additional tasks include performing risk assessments, screening calls, attending didactics, group supervision and weekly Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (MDT) with our partner agencies. The therapist may also attend Family Team Decision Making (FTDM) Meetings, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, and others as needed. More »
Internship Program
The Tree House is not accepting interns for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Training Opportunities
Post Docs will provide trauma therapy to children ages 2-18 and their parents/families. Therapy may include individual therapy, parent training, sibling therapy and family therapy. Post Docs will carry a case load of 10-15 children depending on comfort level and training goals.
Students will be involved in phone screenings, intakes, risk assessments, debriefings after forensic interviews, and therapy. Students will work with children ranging from 2 years through 18 providing direct, individual therapy as well as parent training, sibling therapy and family therapy.
