I am writing to invite you to join Montgomery County’s RespectFest 2022, a virtual and in-person festival for teens, parents, youth service providers, and educators aimed at reducing teen dating violence and providing education on healthy relationships and consent. This year, the Montgomery County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council’s Choose Respect Initiative will host a hybrid festival, including virtual events from March 21-26, 2022, and an outdoor in-person festival on March 27, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Wheaton Community Recreation Center and Park, located at 11701 Georgia Avenue.
The virtual events will include synchronous and asynchronous content, and students will have the opportunity to earn up to 5 SSL hours for participating. The following synchronous events are confirmed:

The in-person festival on March 27, 2022, will include content booths, performances from student groups, self-defense classes, yoga, free food, raffles, and a community resource fair. Students can earn up to 3 SSL hours for participating.
