The Tree House Tour de Cookie is an annual bike ride organized by The Tree House. It is a non-competitive, family-friendly event that offers riders a choice of two routes. Along the way, riders can stop at cookie stands to collect treats. In addition to the bike ride, there is a free Bike Rodeo for children of all ages and a Family Expo with a variety of fun activities for both riders and non-riding attendees. Please remember to wear a helmet as it is required for the event.

The primary goal of the event is to raise awareness about child abuse and the services provided by The Tree House Child Advocacy Center of Montgomery County, MD. Additionally, the event serves as the main fundraiser for The Tree House, with all proceeds going towards better-serving clients impacted by abuse.

In addition to supporting a great cause, Tour de Cookie riders will also be treated to delicious cookies at rest stops along the way. Our cookie stops are staffed by volunteers from the local community, who bake a wide variety of cookies using only the finest ingredients. From classic chocolate chip to exotic flavors like lavender and rosemary, there’s something for everyone at Tour de Cookie 2023!

But Tour de Cookie isn’t just about the cookies – it’s also a chance to connect with other members of the community who are passionate about supporting healthcare access for children. Our event attracts riders from all walks of life, from families with young children to serious cyclists looking for a fun ride. Everyone is welcome at Tour de Cookie, and we work hard to ensure that every rider has a safe, enjoyable experience.

So what are you waiting for? Sign up for Tour de Cookie today and join us in supporting a great cause while enjoying a fun, family-friendly bike ride. We can’t wait to see you there!

Tour de Cookie 2023 Routes

Tour de Cookie offers two routes to suit riders of all ages and abilities. Here are the details:

Short Route – 10 Miles

The Tour de Cookie short route is approximately 10 miles long and goes around the city of Rockville. This route is suitable for any type of cyclist but may be difficult for beginners and children due to some mild to challenging hills. Children who participate must be able to ride safely and be accompanied by an adult at all times. It is important to note that wearing helmets is mandatory for this event.

Long Route  – 30 Miles

The Tour de Cookie long route is approximately 30 miles long and is designed for older children and adults seeking a more challenging experience than the short route. To avoid overlap with the 10-mile route, this route will take riders on a different on-road course into Rockville. Expect some challenging hills and exercise caution when crossing busy roads. As with the short route, wearing helmets is mandatory for this event.
