Gov. Hogan signs into law a bill that increases the window of time a victim of child sexual abuse has to file a lawsuit from age 25 to 38. To read more about the law and its history, click here.

Do you know when your child is old enough
to be left at home alone?

Children under age 8 cannot be left home alone for any reason. Children age 8 or older can be left home alone for short periods of time, as long as a parent or other adult can be contacted.
