The H.O.P.E (Helping Overcome through Prevention and Education) program at Tree House is a comprehensive family-based clinical treatment intervention for children (7-12 years old) with problematic and intrusive sexual behaviors.
The goal of the treatment is to eliminate unwanted sexual behavior. Therapists teach children and caregivers about developmentally appropriate and inappropriate sexual behaviors, how to set and respect personal boundaries, social skills, and ways they can manage emotions, behaviors, and impulses. The treatment also teaches caregivers how to respond to and address problematic sexual behavior in children through behavior management techniques. The treatment requires weekly group attendance for approximately 4 to 6 months.

This typically involves collaboration between law enforcement, child protective services, mental health professionals, schools, and the family to develop a tailored plan based on the specific situation. The following resources are used to guide and inform MDT response.
