How We Help
The Tree House is dedicated to reducing trauma and promoting healing for child and adolescent victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, and neglect. Through a collaborative process between the private and public sectors, key professionals come together on behalf of the best interests of young survivors.

What is a Child Advocacy Center?
A Child Advocacy Center, or CAC, is a safe place where everything a young survivor needs for healing is available under one roof. Instead of being sent from a police station to a hospital to a therapy office, a child comes to one child-friendly place and meets a coordinated team.
The Tree House is the only Child Advocacy Center serving Montgomery County, MD, and has been accredited by the National Children's Alliance since 2008.
Our promise is simple. A child tells their story once. Care is gentle and trauma-informed. All services are free.

To report suspected child abuse or neglect in Montgomery County, call Child Protective Services at 240-777-4417 or the police.
